Your original listing for this product was mostly correct. It applied to
version 1.20 of 2000. But then in late 2002 a new release, in a new
package, was produced, and since that time, this has been the one that is
shipped when people order this product from Amazon or anywhere else. The
listing should be updated to reflect the 2002 release, otherwise people
will think an old obsolete version is being offered and they won't order it.

Here is the current Amazon listing:
http://www.amazon.com/Kermit-95-Communications-Software-Windows/dp/1930110057/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1256326814&sr=8-2And here is the official website of the Kermit 95 software:
http://www.columbia.edu/kermit/k95.htmlAs can be seen from the front of the package:
http://www.columbia.edu/kermit/k95box2.jpgThe software version is 2.1, and it received its export license on 16 July 2002 (lower left).
In fact, the version in the box is Kermit 95 2.1.2, which was released 25 November 2002. So the publication date should be:
20021125The current version is 2.1.3, 1 January 2003, which owners of the 2.1.2 version can download as a free update. It would be helpful if you could list the software version so customers know what they are buying:
Software version: 2.1.2 (with free upgrade to 2.1.3)> Attribute: Author function
http://www.columbia.edu/kermit/k95cover6.jpgthe author of the software is the Kermit Project at Columbia University. The author of the manual is also the Kermit Project at Columbia University. The publisher of the package is Manning Publications, and Manning (as publisher) holds the copyright on the manual, but not on the software.
You have indeed updated the main title, thank you; that was the most important issue. I note that you have not updated the graphic, or the "Look Inside" material, which I sent last time. Again, here is the cover and the inside material of the package:

ISBN-10: 1555581641which among other things, serves as advanced documentation for the Kermit 95 software as well as for Kermit software for Unix and other operating systems.
ISBN-13: 978-1555581640
It would be a good idea if the Kermit 95 page suggested this book too, as a related purchase, and vice versa.
Finally, as noted previously, it would be appropriate to also list Kermit 95 (but not "Using C-Kermit") under Computers & Office >> Software, because it is software. (But the listing should not be removed from the Books section because there are many links to the current listing.)
On a related note, a search for "using c-kermit" turns up the nonexistent 3rd edition, listing me as the author:
ISBN-10: 1555582508
ISBN-13: 978-1555582500
This edition does not exist and has never existed. You can remove this listing.
Thanks again,
