From the 1980s through 2006, the Kermit Project at Columbia University kept
a menagerie of real physical terminals (and their manuals) for development,
testing, and support of our emulators, primarily Kermit 95 for Windows and
MS-DOS Kermit for DOS. We kept the equipment in the racks that you see here
and took them down and hooked them up as needed. In 2006 the University,
constantly expanding its bureaucracy, required us to throw the terminals
away to make room for administrative offices. These pictures were taken on
the day we cleared them out, June 22, 2006.
